The Bavarian Health Ministry has confirmed that Germany has its first case of swine flu, saying tests showed a person in the vicinity of Regensburg had contracted the virus. [1]

According to news magazine Der Spiegel there are now three confirmed cases of swine flu inside Germany. All persons visited Mexico before. First case is a 22 year old woman from Hamburg, second case a man in his thirties mentioned in the paragraph above from Regensburg and the third case a 37-year old woman from Kulmbach.[2]

The fourth case in Germany -- a woman from Bavaria -- is the first case of a human-to-human infection inside the country.[3]
