May 1

The fourth case in Germany -- a woman from Bavaria -- is the first case of a human-to-human infection inside the country. The infected person is a nurse who had contact with the 37-year old man from Regensburg (see above). Meanwhile she is healthy again.

April 29

The Bavarian Health Ministry has confirmed that Germany has its first case of swine flu, saying tests showed a person in the vicinity of Regensburg had contracted the virus.

According to news magazine Der Spiegel there are now three confirmed cases of swine flu inside Germany. All persons visited Mexico before. First case is a 22 year old woman from Hamburg, second case a man in his thirties mentioned in the paragraph above from Regensburg and the third case a 37-year old woman from Kulmbach.
