{{tocright}}As we work through creating country pages, we could save time (and thus, among other things, do more) with a standard page template. One of us can probably devise a "createpage" template to speed up creation, but the contents of the same template could be added to existing pages as an easy way of including things that the page creator had not thought to put in. I suggest that we list items (including any I haven't thought of) and discuss them under headings below. — [[User:Robin Patterson|Robin Patterson]] [[User talk:Robin Patterson|(Talk)]] 06:54, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

==Infobox==

The Wikipedia-style standard box in the top right-hand corner, which anyone here can probably create using {{T|Infobox}} once we sort out its contents if not sooner.

Containing:

===Country flag and name===

===Official languages===

Each linking to wiki's category

===Other languages===

Each linking to wiki's category

''Ideally the above - at least the first two - can all be done with the same template as starts each country row on [[Countries of the world]]?''

===Govt website===

===Health ministry website===

===World Bank wotsit===

''As on countries page - here again, even more easily perhaps, we can use the recently-devised template system, which transcludes the "/info" subpage of the country page. All under the heading of "Authorities", I suggest. Like this:''

<pre>

==Authorities==

{{:{{PAGENAME}}/info}}

</pre>

===Regional organizations===

eg South-Eastern Europe Health Network

===Date of first H1N1 report===

==Text introduction==

No need for format or content standards? It's only a couple of lines, which some of us can write off the cuff.

==2009 H1N1==

Outline of flu status

==News==

with subheadings for dates (eg April 27), latest first

==See also==

Ideally links to heading on countries and continent page?

==External links==

Any we can't tidily fit into the infobox

==Navigation box for continent==

For ease of looking at articles for nearby countries. If we have the link to the continent above, there will be no hurry for this.

==Categories==

<nowiki>[[Category:{{PAGENAME}}| ]]

[[Category:Countries]]

[[Category:(continent)]]</nowiki>;

:Is that too many? - two of them will be on the category page too. But GB was concerned that readers should be led as easily as possible to data for their country of interest. I agree with that principle. Putting the country page in categories "redundantly" will help some of those people to find the articles if they stray into category areas. — [[User:Robin Patterson|Robin Patterson]] [[User talk:Robin Patterson|(Talk)]] 06:54, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
