As of April 26, 2009 there have been 6 confirmed cases of Swine Flu confirmed in Canada, four in Nova Scotia and two in British Columbia. All victims had only mild symptoms and had either recently traveled to Mexico or been in contact with someone who had.[1] The National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg is one of the two laboratories capable of identifying the Swine Flu virus. The laboratory has been processing samples received from Mexico and has confirmed that the virus is related to Swine Flu.[2]
